Join My Group To Get More Links

I recently created a blogger's group in blogdigger.com. It is all about blog resources and making money by blogging. If you joined the group, you will get more links going to your blog. How many? Well, the number of members who joined, the same number of links you'll get. So, the more who join the group the more links you can get.

How to join?

Just leave a comment in this post putting your RSS or Atom URL. I will do the rest. Simple isn't it. So what are you waiting for, you have nothing to lose, join now.

How you can help to make the group bigger in a short period of time?

This part is optional, but if you can help me promoting this group, the faster it will get bigger the better it will help both of us. If you can make a post in your blog encouraging other bloggers to join and give a link pointing exactly to this post, we can easily make the group bigger in no time.

Join and let's get started to get big. :-)

Get More Links

Here's another way of getting a lot of links.

We're getting straight to the discussion. It's very simple. Just register to this website Blogdire.com. Here's the link...

http://www.blogdire.com/add-blog.php

After the registration, it will ask you to put a code snippet somewhere in your blog. If you don't know how, just logon to your Blogger.com account. Go to Layout>Page Elements. Click somewhere in the layout the Add Page Element. A Blogger page-element window will appear. Choose HTML/JavaScript. When the entry form of the HTML/JavaScript appears, enter the code snippet from Blogdire.com. Then save it.

Wait after a few weeks and you'll see a lot of links going to your blog from Blogdire.

Digg Icon At Blogger.com Posts

Do you notice the Digg icon at the right part of this post. Do you want to put the same thing in your Blogger.com blog. I know you do; that's why you don't have to look somewhere else. Here's how:

1.) Copy the following code to your clipboard:

<div style='float:right; margin-left:10px;'>
<script type='text/javascript'>
digg_url = '<data:post.url/>';
</script>
<script src='http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js'
type='text/javascript'>
</script>
</div>

2.) Logon to your Blogger.com. Choose Layout in the dashboard. Then click Edit HTML. Check the Expand Widget Templates checkbox. Find the code indicated below by pressing Ctrl-F.

<div class='post-header-line-1'/>

or

<div class='post-header-line-1'>
.
. (maybe some codes are in here)
.
</div>

3.) If you got the first one with a backslash before the ending tag (">"), split it to two by omitting the backslash and creating a separate ending tag. Just like the second one. See code below as an example.

<div class='post-header-line-1'>

</div>

4.) Insert the code you copied into clipboard right after <div class='post-header-line-1'>

5.) Click Save Template.

So that's it, you've got now your own Digg Icon at the upper right corner of your all the posts in your blog. Your readers can click it to submit your article to Digg.com and/or to Digg it. The icon will also show you how many people have actually "Dugg" your post.

There's a lot of tips in the near future so subscribe now by clicking below.

Test Your Blog Pages In Different Browsers

This sounds elementary but many bloggers like me ignore this tip. I'd been doing my blog with Firefox at home and didn't bother to check out how it looked like in Internet Explorer. Until one day, I don't know what came into me but I tried to view my blog in my office computer and found out that my blog didn't look right with Internet Explorer. This is how it looked like:

Notice the overlapping of Google search and my post area border? When I got home that day, I quickly tried to find a way to fix. For so many days, whenever I got home, I'd been traying but didn't get it right. It is only now that I fixed it.

So if I were you, always check your blog using at least the two common browsers, Firefox and Internet Explorer. If you can try it with others and also at a different resolution, that is even better.

Instant Link Exchange

I have discovered another way of adding more backlinks to my site. It is an instant link exchange that all you need to do is copy the scripts that it provides to your blog and after a few weeks, it will create more links pointing to your own blog's URL.

The website that I am talking about is called www.sphere.com. There's no need to register. All you have to do is to go to the site I just mentioned and look for the "Get the Widget" link in the menu. Once clicked, you need to fill out a few fields to give information about you, your blog's URL, email, Blogging platform (in our case it's Blogger.com), etc. When info are submitted, the two scripts and the complete instruction on how to put them in your Blogger.com HTML layout are displayed. The instruction there is very clear and there's no need to touch that here. Just follow it step by step and you are done.
